Spirit week is in full swing! the kids had a blast showing off their crazy hats today! They also enjoyed the class competition during advisory. They raced in the mist carrying student on mattresses. It was quite a sight! I will be posting pictures soon!
Don't forget to register for field day. The links are in last week's blog.
We have a very exciting event coming up this Friday! A group of our middle school students competed at the Destination Imagination State Competition and qualified for Globals! We will be spending the end of the day on Friday celebrating their accomplishments These four students, Shreya Sundaresh, Shrey Seth, Austin Singleton and Arya Shinde will unfortunately miss graduation because of the competition so we will be having a little ceremony for them as well. All middle school students will enjoy cake and and will get to have time to sign yearbooks. The trip to Globals is also a very expensive trip. This event on Friday will also be a fundraiser for the team. The suggested donation is $5. If a student makes a donation, their name will be entered into a raffle.

Trey Sieradski, one of our graduating 8th graders, is working to become an Eagle Scout. For his project he has decided to help students who are less fortunate gain access to books. He is asking for our help.....
Donate Your Extra Books To Needy Families!
Do you have a few extra books laying around the house that you don't use anymore? How about donating them to a worthy cause? Ben Franklin Academy is a collection site for new and used books of all types and subjects. Books will be donated to local charities who will distribute them to those who do not have access to books. Our very own 8th grade Boy Scout, Trey Sieradski, will be working with the Mile High United Way and The KPMG Family For Literacy Organization to give the gift of literacy. Yellow collection boxes can be found in the main entrance, in the gym, and in the middle school commons.
